Tammy and Dustin are getting married tomorrow at Chateau Louis but we shoot their engagement session just last week as Tammy was moving here from Fort McMurray. Tammy is a teacher and you can tell just by talking to her, as she is sweet and patient (I wouldn’t make a very good teacher! No patience here!) Dustin works for the Team1260 and therefore lives and breaths sports. Some of our shoots for their wedding will revolve around that fact and both are super fun! Tammy has volunteered that she is willing to do anything for her pictures, so you can bet this poor bride will be doing some fun and crazy stuff!! There was lots of laughing and chatting for our whole session and even trudging through trails on a HOT day, there no complaints. The weather is looking perfect for their big day and I’m really looking forward to it!

I was referred to Natalie and Aaron through a mutual friend and had the pleasure of meeting Natalie with her Mom at our consultation as Aaron was away playing hockey. Both were so sweet and excited, I couldn’t help but be caught up in their enthusiasm! My first time meeting Aaron was at the engagement session which was shot in St Albert at sunset at one of my favorite locations. I could not have asked for better weather, with the storm clouds rolling in at the end! They were such good sports, Natalie even climbed a tree for me! I’m super excited for their Ukranian wedding and (fingers crossed) perogies! Some of you may already know that I have been known to recieve payment in food! (Hanifa and AJ will be paying me in samosas at the end of the month ;) so I am hungerly anticipating the fabulous Ukrainian food and Shumka dancers!

Mark and Chelsea have booked me for their rural August wedding and a few weeks ago we got together in St Albert for their engagment session. The train tressle bridge isn’t and uncommon shooting location so I tried to find some unique POV’s for their session. They have this wonderful sweet, loving interaction together and were a pleaseure to shoot! I can’t wait until their wedding as I loooove shooting rural weddings. Being a BC girl, I am so inspired by and in awe of the big skies and changes that come so fast and the fields and the textures of old barns, fence lines and ancient gnarles trees. I love that we did something totally different for the engagement session though, I can totally see their love for each other shining through in each image!

Can you say gorgeous much? I met Stef about, hmmm, 9 years ago? We worked together at the Levi’s Store in Burnaby when I was going to BCIT. Back then I remember her dragging me to see Ante play soccer and gossiping about boys and our coworkers. Stef is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever met and I am super excited about their Vancouver wedding next year! I got to shoot their engagment session in White Rock while I was there , and it was awesome to shoot at a location that just would never happen in Alberta! Although, the crowds (Mother’s Day weekend and gorgeous weather) were pretty crazy to try and find some private spots! But in the end I think we did great, and had fun doing it! Can’t wait to see you guys again!

I think that I have a new addiction! Shooting grads is sooo much fun! Kelsie is our grad that got our free session offered a while back and she was perfect! We headed down to an abandoned house by the Sturgeon River and shot down there. I love the bright colors in her dress against the natural backgrounds. Kelsie was totally willing to try anything I threw at her (including climbing a tree!) and was a great sport. Her mom,  Wendy, was even nice enough to help carry shoes and run back to the car for a blanket for Kelsie to sit on and all sorts of other stuff! Thanks so much for coming out guys! I hope you love them as much as I do!

Jocelyn and Stephan had their beautiful baby girl a few weeks ago and came in for their newborn session a week later. As I was getting ready to blog I realized that I had missed blogging their maternity session! So, the first few are their maternity and then to baby Gabrielle!

Stephan is a fire fighter and brought some of his gear so that we could shoot with it. I absolutely LOVE when people bring cool, personal props like this that we can incorporate. They have meaning and look cool too!

Brandy and her husband came in a few weeks ago for their maternity session, as another one of our Milestone’s clients. (A package we carry that includes maternity, newborn, 6 month and 1 year sessions) We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful day outside and since the weather lately has been more than a little unpredictable we decided to shoot the first part of the session in the studio and then get outside and enjoy the mild weather! Thank you Brandy, we will be seeing you again very soon!

It really seems like i’ve been having my own personal baby boom! Mike and Tanis are my wonderful cousins who live in Devon and we don’t see them nearly enough! Tanis had a trying pregnancy (not that all pregnancies aren’t at least a bit trying!) she was on bedrest her entire pregnancy and then has to be induced 3 weeks early. Luckily it all paid off and they have a happy, healthy baby boy!  Tanis brought Naslund (Yes, as in Markus Naslund of my beloved Canucks) in and we tackled the always challenging baby session.. and it went so smoothly! Thanks you guys! See you soon!

Michelle and Craig are cose friends of ours, “Uncle Muffin and Auntie Shell” to my little guys. Now we welcome baby Tristan! This gorgeous (and I have to say extremely happy and well mannered baby!) was a pleasure to shoot even with my little guys peeking over our shoulders while we got Tristan to sleep. Our first look at Tristan was in the hospital where Craig was beaming (no exaggeration)with pride.
